Hand-Built, Light-Weight, High-Strength!

Foam filled, 0.090" wall thickness aluminum fuel cells include a flush mount aircraft type lid and are equipped with foam, two -08AN or -10AN (3 & 5 gallon cells only) male outlets, an -08AN male vent and an -08AN male rollover valve fitting. Available in a natural aluminum or an oil & fuel resistant black powder coat finish. Fuel cell mounts are now required by most sanctioning bodies for use with aluminum cells (sold separately). Check your rule book for requirements.

The OEM fuel tank equipped on every vehicle is made to last the life of the vehicle and for everyday use. However, for racing purposes, it is overly large and heavy. That is where aluminum fuel cells/tanks come in. They are smaller, mountable in different locations and It is filled with an open-cell foam core to prevent explosion of vapor in the empty portion of the tank and to minimize sloshing of fuel during competition that may unbalance the vehicle or cause inadequate fuel delivery to the motor (fuel starvation).
